General Conditions

The first International New Zealand Young Talent Music Competition is open to candidates of all nationalities born on or after 1st of January 2002.

To participate, Candidates must send the following documents: 

  1. The completed application form
  2. Copy of their passport
  3. A CV
  4. A recent photo suitable for publication
  5. Links to videos for assessment (see video regulations)
  6. Payment, free of any charge.

The competition reserves the right to exclude any person from participating on reasonable grounds.

By participating, competitors grant permission to use their names, characters, photographs and videos connection with the competition and for future promotion and marketing purposes and waive any claims to royalty, right or remuneration for such use.

All entrant personal details must be valid and up to date.

The due date for first round recordings is 14 December 2020, 11:59pm NZST



The Judge’s determination of the winner will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.


Adjudicators who have been teaching competitors as part of their studio teaching during the last two years must declare a conflict of interest and will have to abstain from the discussion around this particular competitor. The competition will ensure that each competitor is adjudicated fairly.

The Winner will be notified by email, phone (voice or text) or mail. Where attempts to contact the Winner fail (eg when the Winner cannot be contacted by phone after three attempts or mail sent is returned) the Judge will select another winner.

The Prize is not redeemable for cash or transferable.

Where the Prize includes air travel and/or accommodation, either international or domestic the Winner MUST have valid documentation, including but not limited to valid passports and Visas, which meet the requirements of immigration and other government authorities at every destination.
