Elisa La Marca, LuteQuartetto di Liuti da Milano, Italy
Elisa La Marca is an Honours Graduate in Classical Guitar and Lute. Teachers with whom she has studied and attended masterclasses include M. Lonardi, P. O’Dette, H. Smith, M.Pasotti. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Lute at the Hochschule für Musik in Trossingen, with Rolf Lislevand.
She has worked with numerous early music ensembles and orchestras, including the Balthasar-Neumann Ensemble, Cappella Mediterranea, Accademia dell’Annunciata, Il Canto di Orfeo, Accademia Montis Regalis, Odhecaton, Rossoporpora, Il Falcone, Laboratorio’600, Ensemble Sezione Aurea, Coro & Ensemble Costanzo Porta, La Magnifica Comunità ,Filarmonica della Scala di Milano, Orchestra of the Maggio Fiorentino, Croatian Radio and Television Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra of Dubrovnik, Pomeriggi Musicali , Stavanger Orkester. Conductors and soloists with whom she has collaborated include Thomas Hengelbrock , Ottavio Dantone, L.G.Alarcon, G.Capuano, S.Montanari, Dimitry Sinkovsky, G. Carmignola, M. Brunello, F. M. Sardelli, and G. Sollima.
She is a co-founder of the Lute Quartet of Milan, an ensemble dedicated to repertoire of the Italian Renaissance and early Baroque. The group’s album Vita de la mia vita was a disc of the month in Amadeus magazine. They have performed in Italy, Portugal, the Netherlands, Denmark, Poland and Brazil, and have been guests on RSI RadioSvizzera Italiana and Radio 3.
As a soloist, Elisa has appeared at a number of important forums, including the Colorado Guitar Festival, Incontri con la Chitarra in Milan, Atelier Chitarristico Laudense, Amici del Loggione del Teatro alla Scala, Teatro dal Verme, Chitarra Femminile Singolare, I Concerti del Conservatorio G.
